Ward 8 Network Builder Contract Position

Do you live in Cleveland’s New Ward 8? We Need You!

Neighborhood Connections, in partnership with Ward 8 Councilwoman Stephanie Howse-Jones, is seeking applicants to become Network Weavers in the new Ward 8.  What's a Network Weaver? It is a person who intentionally strengthens connections within groups, fostering trust, collaboration, and shared purpose by linking people, sharing ideas, and addressing gaps, essentially building healthier, more effective social networks for community action and systems change, different from "personal" networking. They are catalysts who help individuals connect deeply, moving beyond superficial contacts to build strong, supportive communities.  Check out the positions here and follow the QR code or link to apply. Fall 2025 Neighbor Up Grants Announced!

The Neighbor Up Action Grant Committee recently awarded 81 grassroots groups and organizations $273,788 in funding to support initiatives in the city of Cleveland and the city of East Cleveland. Thank you to Cuyahoga Arts & Culture for co-funding many of the Arts & Culture grant proposals and for The McGregor Foundation for co-funding the Senior/Intergenerational grant proposals! LAHSO Oral History Project The amazing contributions of the Latin American community have impacted the landscape of Cleveland since the late 19th century. Our culture, music, food, dance, colors, and language have made Cleveland a more international, multilingual, and vibrant city. Unfortunately, the significant contributions of Latin Americans in Cleveland have been largely ignored. Latin American history has not been recorded, documented, or archived in any consistent manner. Thus, LAHSO was created to capture those experiences of our families so they are never forgotten and are finally included in our collective history. LAHSO’s mission is to ensure that the experiences as well as the significant contributions of the Latin American Community to Cleveland are
