Neighbor Up Spotlight is a podcast telling the stories of unsung heroes in Cleveland. Created, hosted and produced by Cleveland resident and Neighbor Up member Carol Malone, the podcast focuses on members of Neighbor Up, a network of about 3,000 Greater Cleveland residents making positive change in their neighborhoods. Each episode is like listening in on a kitchen table conversation between Carol and her guest. Carol had the idea for the podcast after volunteering for three years as a member of the Neighbor Up Grant Making Committee. A Welcoming Home
In May, Neighborhood Connections moved into our new office located in The Cleveland Foundation's new building in MidTown, on the corner of E. 66th Street and Euclid Avenue. Our very own Cynthia Lewis, had the opportunity to lead the ribbon cutting ceremony at the grand opening on Saturday, July 14th. Since then, we've been intentionally cultivating the space to reflect the values and heartbeat of Neighbor Up. You are invited to drop by and say hi anytime Monday-Friday between 9 am & 5 pm. Welcome, Taryn Gress
We are excited to announce that Taryn Gress has joined Neighborhood Connections as the Network Manager for Community Weaving. We are excited to have Taryn join our team. Taryn was previously with the National Initiative on Mixed-Income Communities at Case Western Reserve University for 10 years as the Strategic Director. There she provided strategic direction for the impact research center, promoting more equitable and inclusive communities with housing as a platform. She also led project management on research, evaluation, and community network building initiatives in Cleveland, across the U.S. and in Canada. Most recently, she worked with neighbors, University Settlement, and Slavic Village Development in the North Broadway neighborhood of Slavic Village, and with
