A Family Sentence: Healing Through Nonviolent Communication
March 13 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Cleveland Public Library presents Seeing Beyond Bars, a speaker and workshop series on reimagining our communities beyond the criminal justice system.
This event will focus on the impact of incarceration on families and provide tools and resources for handling conflict and exercising nonviolent communication. Certified Nonviolent Communication trainer, Morris Ervin Jr., will explore the four components of nonviolent communication – observation, feelings, needs, and requests. These principles include skillful intervention, mindful awareness, integration and connection, as well as healing and reconciliation, ultimately to repair the harm caused by conflict.
