In January, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed into law House Bill 29. This law will result in improved income equity for millions of Ohioans.  Ohio driver’s licenses that had been suspended for non-driving-related offenses will be reinstated, and there will be new limits on suspending driver’s licenses.

Neighbor Up Members worked hard in partnership with Cleveland Legal Aid, Policy Matters, State Representative Darnell Brewer, the Fines and Fees Justice Center, and especially Cleveland residents to help make this happen. Congratulations to all those involved in the Drive to Justice Campaign! For more information on the law change, click here.
