Come And Help Us Celebrate the Feast Of Passover! All Are Welcome!
WHAT IS PASSOVER?
This particular feast commemorates the release of the Isrealites from slavery in Egypt. God established a seven (7) day period, proclaiming that unleavened bread must be eaten seven days (Exd. 12:15). Included, within these seven days, are both Passover (Abib 14) and the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Abib 15). These facts are evident in all additional records of Scripture, and were observed in like manner by Jesus and his disciples (St. Matt. 26:17; St. Mark 14:12; St. Luke 22:7-8). Some additional text showing the celebration of the seven (7) days can be found at: (II Chronicles 30:13-27; Ezekiel 45:21-25).
During Passover, we refrain from eating leavened bread, and we replace it with matzah. This is done to remember the unleavened bread the Isrealites ate in their hurried flight from Egypt. Come and join us to learn more about it. Please see the attached flyer, which contains more details about the week-long services. Our guest Minister is Evangelist Stella Taylor from Estill SC. We hope that you can join us!
