Credo’s Artistic Director Peter Slowik commented, “Last year we received a warm welcome from the Cleveland community and we look forward to making this an annual event. What makes our Messiah Sing-Along different from others is that we touch on all three sections of Handel’s magnum opus. While many sing-alongs focus on the Christmas section, we represent Handel’s entire intention, exploring the depth and sacrifice the Christmas Story foreshadows in Christ’s birth. We’ve gotten an enthusiastic response from the community and we are looking forward to this event.”
This sing-along promises to be a community gathering unlike any other. Take the outstanding musicians (including prize-winning vocal soloists from Oberlin Conservatory and a chamber orchestra), enthusiastic singers who are ready to belt out the Hallelujah Chorus, and an acoustically superior chamber hall – together you have the makings of the largest Messiah Sing-Along in Cleveland!
Slowik also remarked on Reinberger Chamber Hall, the less familiar Severance Hall space where the event will be held, “Fewer people know of this space, but it is just as beautiful as the main hall. The acoustics are phenomenal and singers and audience alike love this intimate experience.”
All are invited to attend and participate or sit back and listen!
