In the past five years, more than ten thousand children in the greater Cleveland area have struggled with the effects of lead exposure. We’ve known for years that paint found in many of Cleveland’s older, urban homes contains dangerous levels of lead. Children living in these homes are slowly being poisoned and many families lack the financial resources to fix the problem.
On May 23, Preterm will host legal experts from the Cleveland Tenants Organization and Fair Shake Environmental Legal Services to discuss the dangers of lead exposure, identify warning signs, and speak with people about their legal rights as renters in older homes.
This event is free and open to the public.
Free parking is available.
