On Wednesday, April 9, at 8:30 a.m., Hawken School will have an Upper School visitation at the Gates Mills campus located at 12465 County Line Road (Grades 9-12).
Founded in 1915 for the purpose of academic excellence and character development, Hawken School is recognized as one of the nation’s premier college preparatory schools, with a diverse and coeducational student body and challenging, innovative and academically rigorous programs that prepare students to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s world. With a 100 percent college matriculation rate to some of the country’s most competitive universities and colleges, seventeen percent of Hawken’s 2013 senior class received National Merit Scholarship recognition.

The visit is an opportunity for interested parents and students to meet school directors and selected faculty, tour facilities, and find out more about Hawken’s innovative programs which include educational partnerships with world renowned medical, cultural and educational institutions including the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve Universities from Hawken’s University Circle base, the Gries Center.
More than $5.5 million in financial aid is granted annually, with 36% of the Hawken student body, K-12, receiving some amount of financial aid. Merit scholarships in the amounts of $2500 to $15,000 are available annually for new 9th and 10th graders, and transportation is available from over 39 communities.
