The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society presents Meng Su and Yameng Wang, the Beijing Guitar Duo on January 25, 2014.
The Beijing Guitar Duo first met at the Central Conservatory in Beijing, China. They become a duo at the suggestion of their mentor, the great guitarist Manuel Barrueco, with whom they also tour as a trio and plan to record a CD. Recent performances have taken them to Carnegie Hall as well as across Europe, Asia and the United States. There will be a display of traditional Chinese artwork by Jerry Wang and pre-concert performance of traditional Chinese music by Shuai Wang.
This Cleveland Classical Guitar Society’s International Series concert is made possible through the support of the Ohio Arts Council and Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.
The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society brings the world’s finest international performers to Cleveland.
