The public is invited to a free screening of Lee Daniels’ film, The Butler, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, in Wolstein Building Auditorium, 2103 Cornell Rd. on the Case Western Reserve University campus. The event is co-sponsored by the Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities and Case Western Reserve’s Office of Inclusion, Diversity & Equal Opportunity.
The 2013 American fictional and historical film was inspired by the life of Eugene Allen, an African-American who served 34 years as the White House butler to eight presidents. The film portrays Allen’s life amidst the social changes over nearly four decades. Seating is limited and registration is recommended.
