Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center
MedWorks will partner with the Cleveland Clinic Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center on Saturday, May 3, 2014 for a MedWorks Free Medical and Women’s Health Clinic.
The free medical clinic will take place at the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center, 13944 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, 44112 from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. Patients can schedule appointments through the MedWorks Appointment Line at 216.201.9325. Walk-in patients will also be accepted on clinic day.
The clinic will feature more than 100 volunteers, healthcare professionals and support, who will provide a broad range of health services. Services will include women’s health exams, pap tests and clinical breast exams, general physical exams and specialty appointments, lab work, and HIV and Sickle Cell testing. A limited number of mammograms will be available on clinic day as well as post clinic referrals. Other medical specialties may include: Cardiology, Dermatology, Ear, Nose & Throat, Urology, Rheumatology, Podiatry and more. Each patient will also meet with a social worker to better understand the next steps in their health care and have the opportunity to connect with an Affordable Care Act Assistor. All services are provided free of charge on clinic day.
MedWorks is a not for profit operating mobile medical, dental and vision clinics delivering free health care serving Ohio’s un- and under-insured. Through its innovative collaborations with hospitals, health centers and medical and non- medical volunteers, MedWorks provides an access point into the medical community. In addition to free health care on clinic day, as part of its Care and Connection model, MedWorks connects patients with ongoing health resources.
Cleveland Clinic Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center offers medical care close to home or work. The staff includes primary care physicians and specialists who see patients in East Cleveland. Through this Center, they are creating an easier way for patients to get preventive care and treatment for chronic diseases.
