North Union Farmers Market at University Hospitals is looking forward to joining this vibrant health, arts and education district and connecting it with fresh, local farm foods!

Beginning at 10:30am and running until 1:30pm on Thursdays, July 25 through October 3, the market will open at the height of the Ohio growing season! Local Farmers will unveil their fresh grown produce, dairy and meat products, honey and maple syrup. Bakers will present delicious breads and pastries, and artisan food producers will feature items such as cheese, jellies, mustards, pasta and more.

Live music and chef samplings will make this occasion fun and festive. Stop by for fresh, LOCAL produce and baked goods and enter to win a free Troy-Bilt lawn mower!

North Union Farmers Market is accepting SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Cards at the Playhouse Square/Cleveland State University Market. Recipients may bring their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards to the “Market Information” table at the farmers market and obtain tokens which may be used to purchase fresh, local vegetables, fruits, dairy products, meat products and much more. WIC and Senior Coupons also accepted.

This year, North Union Farmers Market is pleased to participate in the Produce Perks Incentive Program of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Food Policy Coalition. The incentive is a dollar-for-dollar match to every dollar spent (up to $10) using an Ohio Direction Card at the market. There is no minimum purchase amount to qualify for the incentives and as the name suggests, Produce Perks are only good for purchasing fruits and vegetables. All other tokens purchased with the Ohio Direction Card are good to use on eligible items at the market.

North Union Farmers Market at University Hospitals opens on Thursday, July 25 from 10:30am to 1:30pm, rain or shine. It continues every Thursday through October 3, supplying locally grown fresh produce from Ohio farmers.
